Marketers Night 2011


Dar es Salaam witnessed  another successful event of Marketers Night Out at Hyatt Regency Hotel, Kilimanjaro. Ndovu Special Malt brand manager, Pamela Kikuli, said, “Since its inception seven years ago, Ndovu Special Malt and Marketers Night have worked in partnership with the shared visions of being pioneers in their fields, challenging themselves, going beyond the ordinary and making a difference. As Tanzania’s premium brand of choice, Ndovu Special Malt is again proud to be associated with Marketer’s Night and to be at the forefront of enlightened thinking and debate and engage with the country’s ‘ mover and shakers”
On this event,  age-old adversaries, Heads of Sales and Heads of Marketing, pitted against each other to try settle their differences over a Ndovu.  Industry leaders took part in a 'face off debate' discussing  the value each function brings to business, how different corporate interpret this value, and
why there is constant conflict between what should be two complimentary roles The moderator
for this forum was Allan Sikobe, of Integrated Communications Ltd, while the neutral speaker on the debate, who gave closing remarks on the way forward for a harmonious, and fruitful relation between the Two (2) functions was Dr. Wale Akinyemi, Chief Executive Officer Power Talks Consultants. Ms. Natalia Celani, of Tanzania Breweries Limited opened the event and gave a brief preamble.

KelvinTwissa ofAirtel Tanzania Limited and Mr. Beda Michael Biswalo of Mwananchi Communications Limited were representing the case for marketing function, while Ms. Immaculate Achieng of MAKholdings Company Limited & Ms. Furaha Samalu of MutiChoice Tanzania Limited represented the sales function.
